Pumpkin Patches Near Me exists to fix that. We maintain a searchable, map-first directory of pumpkin patches, corn mazes, u-pick fields and fall farms across all 50 states — 2,000 listings covering 1675 towns, and growing every season.
What we actually do
We are a directory, not a farm and not a booking platform. We do not sell tickets, take reservations or handle payments. What we do is collect, clean and map location data so that a family with an hour of free time on a Saturday can find a good patch nearby, check whether it is open, and drive there.
- Aggregate. We pull business listing data — names, addresses, coordinates, phone numbers, hours and public review ratings — from public business data sources.
- Clean. We normalise addresses, drop permanently closed locations, deduplicate repeat entries and tag each farm with the features visitors care about.
- Map. Everything lands on a single interactive map with ZIP code search, distance sorting and feature filters.
- Correct. Farm owners and visitors send us updates, and we apply them.
Where our data comes from
Our listings are built from public business data — the same underlying information that powers business profiles on major mapping services — imported and refreshed in bulk, then reviewed before publication. Ratings and review counts reflect public review data at the time of import, not our own opinion of a farm.
That approach gives us breadth: we can cover rural counties that hand-curated lists never reach. It also has a real limitation, and we would rather state it plainly than bury it: bulk data goes stale. A patch that lists 9am–6pm may close at 4pm after a rainy week, or shut the field entirely once the good pumpkins are gone. How we keep listings current
- Seasonal refreshes. We re-import the full dataset ahead of each fall season and again mid-season, when hours change most.
- Owner updates. Farm owners can claim or correct a listing at no cost. Owner-supplied hours take priority over aggregated data.
- Visitor reports. If you drive out and find a gate closed or an address wrong, tell us. Those reports are the fastest way we catch bad data.
- Closure sweeps. Locations flagged as permanently closed are removed at import rather than left to linger.
How we make money
We would rather you hear this from us than guess. The site is free to use and free to be listed in. It is funded two ways:
- Advertising. We display ads served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense.
- Featured placement. Farms can pay for enhanced or featured listings through our partners programme.
Paid placement never changes a farm's rating or review count, and it never removes a competitor from the map. Featured listings are identified as such. Everything else is ranked by distance, rating and review volume — not by who paid.
What we are not
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any farm, festival or agritourism business listed on this site. We do not verify licences, insurance or safety practices, we do not inspect the properties we list, and a listing is not a recommendation. Decisions about where to take your family are yours to make.
